Dorothea Rescue Centre is a child-focused organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and reintegrating street-connected girls between the ages of 4 and 11 years within Nairobi and its metropolitan region. We exist to restore dignity, safety, and hope to vulnerable girls who are exposed to life on the streets.
Street-connected girls face unique risks, including abuse, neglect, exploitation, and lack of access to basic needs such as food, shelter, education, and healthcare. At Dorothea Rescue Centre, we respond to these challenges through a holistic and child-centered approach that prioritizes protection, healing, and long-term reintegration into safe family and community environments.
